The site and our client’s requirements

Today, Thalassotherapia Crikvenica is a modern health and tourism complex that provides its clients with excellent medical services based on the principles of thalassotherapy and on the latest medical achievements. The institution has the following departments: Ear, Nose and Throat medicine, respiratory internal medicine, physical medicine and rehabilitation and a specialist children’s department as well as accommodation for up to 330 people.

Emasys d.o.o. installed its automatic metering system consisting of 51 metering points throughout the vast facility allowing the remote collection of consumption data for electricity, water, heat, gas and fuel oil.

The effect of energy and water management

As a hospital and accommodation complex, Thalassotherapia Crikvenica are large consumers of energy and water, and the level of consumption is directly dependant on the number of guests staying in the complex at any given time. Considering the annual growth of overnight stays over the past five years, it would not be surprising to see an increase in energy and water consumption.

However, by analyzing consumption data from our system and implementing various measures to reduce consumption, the management of Thalassotherapia Crikvenica managed to reduce water and fuel oil consumption and keep electricity consumption at a similar level to 2016 when the capacity of the complex was increased and a new hall opened.
