The University of Dubrovnik, as a public sector organisation, is committed to monitoring and managing its energy and water consumption as part of the public sector’s efforts to use energy and water more efficiently and reduce energy and water consumption as directed by the Law on Energy Efficiency NN 127/14.

Emasys d.o.o. installed its remote meter reading system which consisted of six metering points in total to monitor consumption of electricity, water and fuel oil.

Our solution and its benefits

After monitoring and tracking the site’s consumption for some time via our remote meter reading system, the client noticed a significant increase in fuel oil (used for heating) consumption at specific times of day as well as significant deviations at specific times of the year. By optimizing the heating system with minimal investments, the client managed to reduce fuel oil consumption by 23% and savings of EUR 3,741.85 were achieved.
